When a Baker and his Wife learn they've been cursed by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, in a hysterical take on the Brothers Grimm! Sondheim's inventive songs are masterfully set for choral ensembles of all ages in this 15-minute choral medley. The middle section moves into swing-four style and may be repeated ad lib for either vocal or instrumental solos. Such a “simple bit of melody” will be a super vocal jazz showcase!
